Very hard to assemble and faulty part!KatSo this was the worst flat pack I've put together and I've put together many.
It's the most hardware and parts I've seen for an IKEA product and took almost 4 hours to assemble, the instructions were correct but I wonder if it was written by Ai as some steps had to be improvised as they are physically impossible, like screwing on the desk hinges by lying down pointing drill up! Dangerous too as the table top is just balanced - I had to turn the desk over and prop up the table up on cardboard.
Step 13 - screws strip easily as so hard to drill in.
Step 23, part is faulty. The dowel split the wood and the bolt hole is not drilled deep enough so the screw doesn't work.
I love how IKEA charges you $300 for the privilege of almost losing your mind putting this piece together.
I now have to go into the store to get the part as online customer service wanted to send me a whole desk, for me to take the part out and then another team will come pick it up! So 2 x 12 hour days waiting for IKEA!
