Rubbish designAnonymous reviewerThe back of the unit is now designed to slot in instead of being nailed in like previous ikea furniture - this means the shelves keep falling and breaking the pins they’re sitting on because the frame won’t stay together properly.

Wall is straight, legs are striaght. Really disappointed. There is no way to straighten it apart from drilling into the wall holding it in position and screwing to the wall. Anonymous reviewerThese units have no structural integrity; the backboard is thin and because it’s not actually attached to the frame the whole thing moves and bows. It’s impossible to get it square, so none of the drawers and doors line up properly making it look awful. Whilst the shelves provide some integrity, if the unit isn’t all shelves, it’s a problem. Why on earth isn’t there at least a back brace to stabilise it? The draw units should come with a brace section, they don’t. The work around we tried is adding redundant shelves above the draws in an attempt to stabilise it (at extra cost). Even then the draws and doors are misaligned. The worst product I’ve ever purchased from ikea; cheap tat, to be avoided. Ikea should be ashamed.

The doors don't go straight at all, no amount of adjusting helps, if you get the top straight the side is ridiculously off or vice versa. The unit it's self is extremely wobbly and unstable.
way too much movement Anonymous reviewerthese tall units are awful. They aren't rigid enough to stay square and become impossible to level because of it. And when they aren't square the doors can't close properly. I wouldn’t have bought the whole media unit if I'd known. They need a cross brace on the back.

Flimsy design Anonymous reviewerWhile the item might look nice, the design in incredible poor and it is very wobbly. In order to fix the issue I had do disassemble the item and add wood glue to the back hardboard panel. I also has to purchase additional timber to cut into 3 sections and glue across the back of the unit to ensure it is square and stable. This resolved the issue, but should not have been necessary if the item had been designed properly.

Low finish qualityAnonymous reviewerWe've had it for just a few months and the white paint/finish is worn in a few spots. We've only cleaned it with mild soap and we're already considering replacing it with something else of decent quality. It's quite disappointing for the higher end of Ikea cabinets and I wouldn't recommend it.
