The quality is not what I expected, as the baskets I have had for years and they are sturdy and after all these years are still intact! These seem very flimsy and cheaply made.

Do Not RecommendMaggieUnfortunately, these baskets are absolutely awful. The material they’re made out of is always coming apart and leaves a weird residue on your hands. They also didn’t last long in general. They completely fell apart and left the giant staples exposed and scratched my kids. Then it’s impossible to fix them because the staples don’t go back together. Really disappointed we spent so much on these just for them to be unusable.

Cheaply madeAlonAfter just a few months of use these fall apart. I have bought replacements and the same thing happens. The bottom somehow stretches and it no longer stays in place or the hinges get damaged.
Avoid - Rough and SplinteryBethI ordered three of these for my child's toy shelf (they were delivered so I didn't feel in story) but will be returning as they're not safe. They're very rough and jagged and handling leads to splinters. Pretty disappointed in the quality.
Color variesAnonymousI have Branas baskets that I bought 20 years ago and they’re still great! I bought one more recently to add to the ones I have, and notice that this one is a bit lighter in color and doesn’t have any of the same coating on it as the old ones, so it’s very matte. I recommend purchasing in-store because the natural color of the wicker does vary from baskset to basket.

The old ones I have definitely have a finish to them. I checked the product description and it definitely says it should be ratan and clear acrylic lacquer.
