Highly RecommendPatrinaHighly recommend, I haven't no issues with this purchase.5
I cook daily with strainers, this lasted me 11 moMgood quality materials, no rusting, large size, easy to use. repeated hot-cold cycling particularly in a dishwasher loosens crimp connectors or spot welds. this has no spot welds so had higher hopes, but the crimps opened up and the mesh fell off on one side, and quickly got larger. luckily i bought 2, so I'd get another 11 mo until I can buy a better quality one.
I can repair spot welds, but the labor I use cost more than buying another and throwing it away. luckily for stainless, so it fully recyclable with no plastic parts.
i'd be willing to pay more for a durable one that lasts a lifetime. I had one before, but lost it in a move. it cost $20 in 1976. it was a colander but shaped like this strainer and works for cooking. as a solid pot, it has no mesh to break free of crimps, and the handles were bolted. its not for baking. ikea has another product similar to this, but with spot welded handles!! bolt or rivet those handles on, and it would be ideal.3
StrainerMarthaGood strainer. Large size, with good sized tabs for a no hold pour. Also, has not rusted like the last “quality” strainer I purchased.5

Large strainerRoslynWorks well. Comfortable handle. Easy to wash5
Perfect strainer that needs to grow up.EdSo simple! So efficient! So short! Loose mesh has great application as an alternative to your tight-mesh strainer. Think: washing small amounts of fruit or beans. But personally, I think these strainers should have a handle long enough to span the width of your sink (depth-wise for single basin or width-wise for double basin). What good is it if one hand is always used to hold it up out of your sink?2
